Tubig

Perfect Happiness?

Someone asked me if i believe in perfect happiness, and i said i don’, there is happiness, imperfect happiness, but there is no such thing as perfect happiness, especially when you’re searching for your so-called perfect happiness through God, and through organized religion.

I know that these organized religion are preaching about love and giving, and good and betterment of life through their so-called God, but let’s face it, they don’t know jack shit about love, or giving, or God for that matter, first of, James Frey was right, these celibate sons of bitches, who you call priests, bishops, popes, don’t know jack shit about love, they don’t even know where to put it in, if you know what i mean. Cause love and lust goes hand in hand, the only love which doesn’t require lust is the love for your family, and in some cases, family doesn’t even matter anymore.

You, no I mean we live our lives for our own sake, we live our life for our own petty ambitions, we live our life working like a fucking slave day and night, waking up at 9am then coming home at 5 for what? For our delusional wishes that somehow, someday we’ll make it big, that somehow, someday, we’ll be somebody.

We were all raised thinking that the world was made for you and me, but it isn’t. The world doesn’t care about your new television set, or how you just broke up with your boyfriend last night, or how you got mugged, or how your brother and your sister died in a car accident, the world doesn’t even care about the world for that fucking matter, it exists for the sake of it’s own fucking existence. And this I can assure you, the world is filled with all the stinkin shit it doesn’t give about you and me.

I was ranting about organized religion but you know how these things go, you think of something then you realize what the fuck man, i should write that, and here i am, writing this piece of crap that nobody would even read about, this piece of crap that the world doesn’t care about. But you see, when you realize and when you come to terms with how the world doesn’t give a multitude of fuck for you, that’s when you become free, that’s when you learn the truth, that there is no today, no tomorrow, no yesterday, no future, it’s all the same fuckin day, the question is, how much fuck would you give the world today?

An excerpt from the letter of Dr. Rizal to the Young Women of Malolos.

It is cowardice and erroneous to believe that saintliness consists in blind obedience and that prudence and the habit of thinking are presumptuous.  Ignorance has ever been ignorance, and never prudence and honor. God, the primal source of all wisdom, does not demand that man, created in his image and likeness, allow himself to be deceived and hoodwinked, but wants us to use and let shine the light of reason with which He has so mercifully endowed us. He may be compared to the father who gave each of his sons a torch to light their way in the darkness bidding them keep its light bright and take care of it, and not put it out and trust to the light of the others, but to help and advise each other to fiind the right path.  They would be madman were they to follow the light of another, only to come to a fall, and the father could unbraid them and say to them: “Did I not give each of you his own torch,” but he cold not say so if the fall were due to the light of the torch of him who fell, as the light might have been dim and the road very bad.

The deceiver is fond of using the saying that “It is presumptuous to rely on one’s own judgment,” but, in my opinion, it is more presumptuous for a person to put his judgment above that of the others and try to make it prevail over theirs.  It is more presumptuous for a man to constitute himself into an idol and pretend to be in communication of thought with God; and it is more than presumptuous and even blasphemous for a person to attribute every movement of his lips to God, to represent every whim of his as the will of God, and to brand his own enemy as an enemy of God.”

_____________________________________________________________

Rizal’s experience from the friars and officials of his time could be reflected and is evidenced even in today’s society, we see nothing but the continued dictatorship and fascism of religious factions, a hundred and fifteen years after Rizal’s death, nothing has truly changed, we are still shackled to the religious ball and chain superimposed upon us by the Catholic Church, which claims that God has invested upon them power over the people.

Dr. Rizal has laid in front of us the answer, and it is very disappointing, especially for a person like me, to be met with hilarity and ridicule when talking about the flaws of religion. It is becoming taboo for our culture to talk about and debate about religion, as taboo as the topic of sex is. One could not help but wonder, how ridiculous this could be, when the very religion that most believe in, claims that the God they promote has provided us free will to enrich our lives with the knowledge one could collect through the journey of life, and question those that is questionnable in the nature of good.

These words should, by all means, help people, especially the youth of today, see and question, religion’s purpose in the life of man - and not just blindly follow and immerse themselves in the euphoria brought about by blind faith. Is it really a spiritual guide into eternal salvation? Or is it an instrument to profit from the fault of man’s own weakness from spiritual barreness?
